Got a budding artist at home?  Get them a break from screens and let their imagination take shape - literally!

Get ready for some creative clay fun with our Kid's Half Term Clay Club.  The Clubs are scheduled 10 am-12 noon Monday-Friday during half term week and each session can be booked independently.  Each day, potters aged 8–12 will spend two hours exploring the wonderful world of pottery gaining experience on and off the wheel. 

Each session includes:

• Throwing practice – learning to centre, shape, and control clay on the wheel
• Hand-building – focused on fun, achievable projects using pinch, coil, and slab techniques, such as trinket boxes, coiled vases, and decorated coasters
• Painting/glazing - students give the finishing touches to their creations using a selection of slips, underglazes, ceramic crayons, and glazes. 

No experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to get a bit messy! Firing is included, so every piece your child makes comes home finished and ready to use or show off.

Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.

Price: £40 per session, 20% discount when you book all 5 days.

What to bring: All tools and an aprons are provided. 

What to wear:  Clay is messy, so we encourage casual dress when possible.  The stoneware clay used in this class will brush or wash off of most fabrics relatively easily.

Accessibility: We pride ourselves in being accessible.  We have a ramped entrance for those with limited mobility and a ground floor toilet.  All of our pottery wheels can be operated by hand or foot.  We encourage you to contact us to discuss your specific needs prior to booking.
