Laugh-out-loud fun, accessible to all experience levels.
Our taster sessions works equally well as an intimate one-on-one session or a full group event. Private sessions suit one or two people wanting a more intimate class, closer guidance and a quieter pace, while group bookings are built for parties, celebrations, and team building — with everyone throwing or building together, side by side, in the same session.
Whichever you choose, you'll get the same hands-on introduction to the wheel, a tutor on hand throughout, and a freshly thrown pot to take home at the end.
£55 per person. Minimum price equivalent to 5 attendees (£275) although smaller groups are welcome at this price. Maximum of 10 attendees.

Gather around the wheel for an hour of hands-on pottery.
After a demonstration from your tutor covering the fundamentals, you'll take the wheel yourselves for the remainder of the hour. Expect lots of mishaps, wonky pots, and laughter, but most first-timers are surprised to find that they have made several decent pots by the end of the session.
Each person gets to choose one pot to fire and glaze at no additional cost, ready in 4–6 weeks.
£65 per person. Minimum price equivalent to 5 attendees (£325) although smaller groups are welcome at this price. Maximum of 14 attendees.

Bring your group together for 90 minutes of hands-on pottery. You get the best of both of our tasters - wheel throwing and coiled creations - all wrapped up in one. This session is a particularly good option for families with children.
Build on the wheel for 45 minutes. Following a brief demo, you will take the wheel yourselves for the remainder of the time. Expect a wobble or two at first — that's normal for everyone — and your instructor will be right there to help you find your rhythm.
Build by hand for 45 minutes. Using a coiling technique, you'll shape one vessel by hand (a small vase, a trinket dish, a mug — your call), with plenty of scope to decorate and personalise as you go.
Each person gets their hand-built pot plus one thrown pot of their choice fired and glazed at no additional cost, ready in 4–6 weeks.
£55 per person. Minimum price equivalent to 5 attendees (£275) although smaller groups are welcome at this price. Maximum of 8 attendees.

A great choice for those who want a more tactile approach to pottery — no wheel required. This class is suitable for children 5+ who can sit at a bar-height stool making it a great choice for birthday parties, family get-togethers, or any group after a relaxed, hands-on session together.
In this one-hour session, you'll build a coiled vase, mug, or dish by hand — shaping, pinching, and refining the clay without the wheel. It's slower than throwing, more forgiving, and a genuinely good way to understand what clay actually does.
There's also far more room for customisation, decoration, and imagination than in a throwing taster. Add handles, custom coiled motifs, use our selection of stamps or add letters to your piece inside or out — the sky's the limit.
By the end, you'll have a vessel entirely your own making and complete different from everyone else in the class - personalities really come out here. All hand-built pots will be fired and glazed ready for collection in 4-6 weeks.
£75 per person. Minimum price equivalent to 5 attendees (£375) although smaller groups are welcome at this price. Maximum of 8 attendees.

Gather your crew for 1.5 hours of throwing clay, plenty of laughs, and a tipple — a fun kickoff to date night, a birthday, or an alternative to your usual happy hour catch-up.
The evening opens with a browse of the gallery and a drink (alcoholic or not, your call) to loosen up the fingers and the creativity. Once everyone's settled in, your expert potter walks you through wheel throwing essentials — centring, opening, and shaping — before handing the wheel over to you for an hour of hands-on practice. Missed a step during the demo? Don't worry, we're on hand to help throughout.
As the evening winds down, we'll inspect (and have a good laugh at) everyone's creations and raise a final glass together before you head off — with plenty of time left to continue on to dinner or your next venue.
Everyone can choose one pot to be fired and glazed at no additional cost, ready to collect in 4-6 weeks.
